Yoga harnesses, magnifies and directs our energy. It clarifies our thinking whilst healing and maintaining the body. This is a simple and yet powerful practice.

Every time I step into a class to teach, I do so with the a renewed sense of respect and humility for the students who so bravely seek to better themselves both physically and mentally. I would say this about anyone doing anything positive for themselves but I get to see this happening in a yoga class and for that I am very grateful. With the honest companion of yoga as our aid we breathe and move our way to physical vitality. In the process we are reminded of the power and sheer real-life magic that our bodies contain. We learn to love our feet. And ourselves. I aim to share in people’s experience and hopefully spread some of the joy and healing I have received in my own journey.

When practised correctly Yoga has an incredible potential to physically heal the body from the musculo-skeletal issues common to many office-bound working warriors, to deeper problems related to the digestive, endocrine and nervous system. Because of this, I keep a keen eye on what we are doing with our bodies but it is the mental, emotional and spiritual journey that grounds me and keeps me humbled by this beautiful practise.

  • 2012 – Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course 200 Hour
